FUE and DHI
In both, individual follicles are taken from the back of the head and moved to thinning areas. In FUE the doctor opens small channels first and then places the grafts. In DHI an implanter pen places each graft directly, which can suit denser work in smaller areas.
The right technique depends on your hair, the area and your donor supply. The doctor recommends one after reviewing your photos.
Ask who holds the tools
In some busy clinics, technicians do most of the procedure. We work only with clinics that name the doctor who performs or supervises your procedure, in writing, before you book.
Your plan also states the estimated graft count, the technique, what is included and the aftercare.
Three days, then a year of growth
A typical plan. Your doctor sets the details.
- Day 1Arrive and consultAirport pickup, then a consultation, blood tests and hairline design with the doctor.
- Day 2Procedure dayUsually six to eight hours under local anesthesia, with breaks.
- Day 3First wash and checkupThe clinic shows you how to wash and care for the grafts. Then home with your medication and aftercare kit.
- 2–4 weeksSheddingMost transplanted hairs fall out. This is normal; the roots stay.
- 3–12 monthsNew growthGrowth usually starts around month three or four. Final results take 12 months or more.
Before and after
Hair transplant patients are usually told to avoid direct sun, swimming and heavy exercise for the first weeks. If you travel to Antalya in summer, plan your beach days before the procedure, not after. We send you a progress check-in every few months for the first year.
